Sacred Rage & the Awakened Goddess
Syma shares beautifully and with such openness and vulnerability about her a childhood in a strictly religious Muslim family characterised by the suppression of the feminine, where she experienced sexual and other types of abuse, and how she, through the grace of the Divine, found the courage to say ‘no’ to the hijab and an arranged marriage and ‘yes’ to secondary education that was forbidden.
